Parliament, Tuesday, 2 December 2025 – The Joint Standing Committee on the Financial Management of Parliament (JSCFMP) will tomorrow conduct a site inspection of the Nieuwmeester Dome installation currently underway.
The purpose of the site visit is to allow the committee to observe construction progress first-hand, assess compliance with safety and project timelines and engage directly with the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, as well as senior officials overseeing the project.
Members will first receive a safety briefing before the site visit. Members of the media are welcome to attend, but space may be limited. Closed shoes are required.

Venue: Committee Room 1, Ground Floor, 120 Plein Street, Parliament
The site visit will be followed by a committee meeting scheduled to follow the plenaries in the National Assembly and the National Council of Provinces. The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure is expected to brief the committee on the progress with the installation of the Nieuwmeester Dome.
